Examination
Online Examination Scheduling
The application and examination process has been updated. Applicants are now required to take and pass the appropriate examination before applying for licensure. (If you have an ACTIVE approval letter from DOPL to take the exam, please email BCRE-exams@DOPL.idaho.gov for instructions on how to schedule your exam.)
Exams are now offered through PSI
For the fastest and most convenient scheduling experience, PSI recommends registering online. Online registration is available 24 hours a day at: https://test-takers.psiexams.com/idcon/test
Steps to Register Online:
- Log in to PSI’s website and select “Sign In / Create Account.”
- Choose “Create Account.”
- Browse the list of available exams, select your desired test, and complete the application.
- The application is an automated acceptance process, once you see that your application has been accepted, go to the scheduling tab to schedule and pay for your exam.

Manufactured Housing Reference Manual
You can find your specific exam reference materials including a study guide blueprint in the Candidate Bulletin on PSI’s website. https://test-takers.psiexams.com/idcon/test.
You must select the exam you wish to take to view the Candidate Bulletin

NOTE: Candidates are responsible for bringing their own reference materials to the examination center. The Idaho Manufactured Home Installation Standard Manual MUST be printed, hole-punched, and placed into a three-ring loose-leaf binder, prior to the scheduled examination date. While pre-exam highlighting, underlining, and permanent indexing are permitted, no writing is allowed during the examination session. Additional papers and temporary markers (e.g., Post-its) are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated.
Next Steps After Passing
After achieving a passing score, you must apply for licensure through the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL). For application instructions and forms, please visit the License Application page edopl.idaho.gov to create a customer account.
