Welcome to the Board of Long-Term Care Administrators

During the 2025 Legislative Session, the Idaho Legislature passed H0028. This new legislation merges the Idaho Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators and the Idaho Board of Examiners of Residential Care Facility Administrators into a single entity known as the Idaho Board of Long-Term Care Administrators. This consolidation is expected to decrease expenses while also aligning Idaho’s licensing approach with that of several other states that utilize a single board for overseeing both professions. Importantly, licensees will not see any functional changes as the merger will not impact their licensing status, the application approval process, or the established scope of practice for either profession. This new board structure is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
