You must attend 100% of the course. Click HERE to view the current course attendance policy. You must also complete a final course exam for all online courses with a 70% or higher passing score. Live and remote delivery elective courses do not require passing an exam to receive credit.

If you are attending a class through remote or hybrid delivery (Zoom), you must agree to abide by the Student Engagement Terms. Please take the time to become familiar with these requirements. If you fail to meet these terms, the provider may remove you from the course and/or deny course credit.

Use the Continuing Education Course Catalog to search for certified courses. There are many ways to take CE that count toward your license renewal or activation.

Did you know that you can get up to 4 hours CE credit for attending a regularly scheduled Commission meeting? Click here to view the current Commission meeting schedule.

Some Professional Designation courses are also accepted for CE credit. These classes are listed as “certified” in the Education Lookup.

If you currently hold an active real estate license in another state or jurisdiction, hold another professional license, or take a nationally recognized designation course, you may be able to receive CE credit that counts toward your license renewal.

To request credit earned in another jurisdiction be considered for CE credit in Idaho, submit the course information, along with a copy of your course completion certificate, and the provider’s course description or outline using the “Submit Continuing Education Records” option via DOPL’s Online Services.

Online courses must be ARELLO® certified to be considered.

Please note: Requests can take up to 60 days to process, please give yourself enough time to have your request considered so that you have enough time to renew your license.

Please note: Providers (real estate schools) are required to report your education to the Commission. By law, they have 5 business days following course completion to do so.

  • If it has been more than 5 business days since your class ended, please follow up with the provider to request they post the education.
  • If it has been more than 5 business days since the class ended and the provider is not responding to your requests to have the education posted, or if you find an error with your education record, please let us know at BCRE-Education@DOPL.Idaho.gov.

The Commission reviews all license renewals and activations for compliance with the CE requirements. If you don’t have the required CE hours posted to your record, you will receive an audit letter. Keep your course completion certificates in a safe place! Failure to respond to a CE audit letter can have consequences including inactivation of your license. If you receive an audit letter, please take a moment to review and respond.
