Exams

The Division of Occupational and Professional License administers the exams for Electrical. You must first apply and receive approval prior to scheduling an exam. For information on how to submit an application or for a copy of the application, please see the License Application page.

Exams are proctored in Boise, Blackfoot, and Coeur d’Alene. For information relating to the exam you are approved to take, please refer to the exam bulletins listed below. Payment is expected at the time that you schedule. If paying with a credit/debit card,  a 3% service fee will be applied.

The Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses complies the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you require special accommodations, please see the instructions and application form located under the Guidelines for Requesting Special Accommodations. Requests for special accommodations must be submitted prior to the scheduling of your exam.

Once you have been approved for an exam, you will have ninety (90) days to schedule and take the exam. You must contact the Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses at least two (2) days prior to the date you would like to test.
