DOPL conducts rulemaking in compliance with the Idaho Administrative Procedures Act (Idaho Code §67-5201 et seq).

| IDAPA 24.01.01 RULES OF THE BOARD OF ARCHITECTS AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS | DOCKET NO. 24-0101-2601 (FEE RULE) This rulemaking explores adding a certification fee for Certified Interior Designers. In 2026, the Idaho Legislature passed HB 790, which created a certification for interior designers and authorized the Board to promulgate rules for the administration of the certification. | IDAPA 24.10.01 RULES OF THE STATE BOARD OF OPTOMETRY | DOCKET NO. 24-1001-2601 This contemplated rulemaking: (1) removes the outdated Annual Fund fee from the fee table; (2) and removes outdated language from the rule chapter. Due to statutory changes, the Annual Fund fee is no longer a fee collected by the Division. | IDAPA 24.32.01 RULES OF BOARD OF LICENSURE OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS AND PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYORS | DOCKET NO. 24-3201-2601 This negotiated rulemaking will consider aligning Idaho’s examination requirements with upcoming changes by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), by separating public land surveying content from the Principles and Practice of Engineering exam into a standalone Public Land Survey System exam. | IDAPA 24.39.10 RULES OF THE ELECTRICAL BOARD | DOCKET NO. 24-3910-2601 In accordance with Idaho Code Section 67-5292, the Division is reviewing IDAPA 24.39.10 to assess whether the content of the rule chapter is still necessary.
