License Renewal
If you have not met the Continuing Education Requirements, do not submit a renewal indicating otherwise. Submitting a fraudulent application for licensure is grounds for disciplinary action against your license.
Please complete your renewal through your IREC Account. If you have questions, please email IREC-licensing@dopl.idaho.gov or by calling 208-334-3233.
For your license to remain valid, it must be renewed by 5:00 PM Mountain Time on the last day of your birth month. Licensing cycles are on a 2-year cycle based off your birth month. You cannot practice on an expired license.
Active members of the military may be eligible for a waiver of renewal fees and other renewal requirements; see Idaho Code 67-2602A.
Please note: If you fail to renew your license before its expiration date a late fee will be required by Idaho Code 54-2020 and cannot be waived. Licenses that have not been renewed on time will be placed on an “Expired” status. Expired licenses can only be renewed to an “Inactive” status and will require your designated broker to reactivate the license. If you were the designated broker, you must contact the Real Estate Commission to become active again.
You have 1-year from the date the license “Expired” to renew. After 1-year the license will be “Terminated”, and a new application and fee will need to be submitted along with all licensing requirements required by Idaho Code 54-2012.
