New Outfitters and New Outfitters Purchasing a Business

For new applicants and new applicants purchasing a business, please follow the below steps and provide all documents that apply. For the seller, please see the steps at the bottom of the page;

• If you are adding a consumptive activity, Fish and Game will be notified.
• Sellers, for a partial sale, please see the Outfitter Amendments tab.

1. Land Managers Statement – (Public Lands)
If purchasing a business the new applicant and selling outfitter will need to provide the following to both the Board office and land manager; 

• Sale Agreement
• Written Area Description (if a change in existing area occurs) 
  Any changes in the existing operating area will need to be approved by the land manager and noted in the Land Managers Statement.
• Map(s) – Location (if a change in existing area occurs)
• Operating Plan

OR

2. Private Landowners Statement (Private Lands)
If purchasing a business the new applicant and selling outfitter will need to provide the following;

• Lease Agreement
• Written Area Description (if a change in existing area occurs
  Any changes in the existing operating area will need to be approved by the land manager and noted in the Land Managers Statement.
• Map(s) – Location (if a change in existing area occurs)

New applicants must complete item 3 or 4, whichever is applicable:

4. Outfitter Business Entity Application (Notarized)

6. Disclosure Statement Regarding Criminal Conviction – A conviction includes a finding of guilt, an entry of a guilty plea by a defendant and its acceptance by the court, or a forfeiture of bail bond or collateral deposited to secure a defendant’s appearance, suspended sentence, probation or withheld judgment.

AND items 7, 8, and 9 are required for all applicants.

7. Outfitter Operating Plan (needs to be sent to both the Board office and land manager). 

Other documents that may be required:

• Idaho Secretary of State DBA filing (if you intend to use one)
• Foreign Entity Filing with the Idaho Secretary of State for Out of State Outfitters

8. Performance Bond 

9. Liability Insurance/Vehicle Liability Insurance

For Guide License Only (If Outfitter/DA will not be guiding)

• Guide River Training Form (River Guide License Only)
• Guide Hunting Training Form (Hunter Guide License Only)
• Guide Mountain Excursions Training Form 
  
• Guide Equestrian Training Form

Seller Only (If you are only selling part of your business, please follow the link to the amendment tab)

For a full sale please complete the following;

1. Online Use Reports for the current season

2. Relinquishment Form (Notarized)

3. Allocated History Release Authorization (Optional
